A comprehensive study of the flow of fluid through the packed bed of pulp fibers is attempted by a continuous, dynamic, nonlinear model based on diffusion-dispersion phenomenon. The results obtained from the model are presented in the form of plane and surface plots. Key parameters of the industry are used directly or indirectly in the development of the model. On the basis of the graphs obtained, the theoretical analysis of different parameters is made for exit solute concentration .The model is solved numerically using the technique of orthogonal collocation on finite elements. The effect of Peclet number and Distribution ratio (DF/R2) is checked on these parameters.
